Our Work

“Problem-solving Courts,” also called “Therapeutic Courts” are courts which utilize specialized court calendars. The same assigned judge works as a part of a collaborative team of attorney, treatment providers and program managers. The 12-24 month programs are designed treatment programs seeking behavior change combined with the use of sanctions and incentives to shape behavior changes. Successful participants learn and demonstrate abstinence from drug and alcohol use through monitored urine analysis testing, how to cope with and manage mental health challenges, achieve educational and employment goals, and complete all program requirements.
