Leslie LeGault, Board Member
Leslie is a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with Strategic Consulting Services, where she feels truly at home helping others. She is passionate about guiding injured workers through their recovery process, answering their questions, and being their cheerleader—her favorite part of the job.
In 2001, Leslie's life took a turning point when she received a DUI. This event led her to a journey through the court system and both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation programs. Today, she celebrates 22 years of sobriety, which she attributes to the courts, treatment programs, and, most importantly, her former sponsor, Cheri. Meeting Cheri seven years into her recovery became a life-altering moment. Cheri provided the mentorship, support, and unconditional love Leslie had never experienced before, helping her realize she was capable of far more than she ever believed.
With Cheri's encouragement, Leslie returned to college at 31, left a toxic marriage, and became a single mother—all while working full-time, volunteering at her daughter’s school, coaching her softball team, and helping other women in their sobriety journeys. Cheri’s guidance fueled her determination to succeed, and today, Leslie is a thriving, self-sufficient woman.
Leslie’s “why” for serving on the Strophy Foundation Board is simple: she wants to be the Cheri in someone else’s life. Her mission is to offer hope, encouragement, and unconditional love to those in need of a support system, believing wholeheartedly in the power of recovery.
In her free time, Leslie enjoys reading, spending time with friends, playing slow-pitch softball, and coaching high school fast-pitch. But her greatest joy comes from spending time with her husband, two daughters, and her German Shepherd.
