Sarah Morris, Board Member

Sarah Morris has been a local Realtor in Thurston County for 18 years. Her beloved “Auntie Chris” (Christine Tuggle) was among the first graduating groups of the Thurston County Drug Court and Sarah is truly grateful to Judge Richard Strophy and his heart and passion for Drug Court which has saved so many lives.

While “Auntie Chris” actually passed away from a brain aneurysm, she died sober. Drug Court had already saved her life. Auntie Chris had many people in her life who loved her dearly and celebrated her conquest over addiction. She is Sarah’s “why” when it comes to her passion for the addicted and homeless. Sarah believes that “service to others” is the whole point of this Experience/Life we live. She has been in homeless advocacy for 20 years on the streets of downtown and in local shelters.

Sarah’s passions are God and Politics, both of which she believes should be centered around serving others. She has a mini farm in the middle of Lacey and you can usually find her in her garden (she loves Dahlias and has a UPick during the summer).  She also gifts eggs from her two chickens, Bittie and Nugget. She has two little dogs, Shadow and Elby, her cat, Bobbi and her rabbit, Thunder Bunny.

Sarah loves the teachings of Christ, yet not so much the structure of religion. She lives by the belief of “doing unto others” and hopes that it shines through her life.
